Super Sculpey

This is a quick, little self-portrait sculpt I did a while ago. It was the first time I used super sculpey, and I haven't sculpted anything since but I do plan on trying to do some more. It was a lot of fun and thanks to the help from my co-workers, I learned a bit about the sculpting process.

Hey everybody, this is a new concept for one of the Hellbourne units in Savage 2. I think this should have a disclaimer on it, "not child safe". I'm still having nightmares about it.*sniff sniff* Hope you like it.

Charm Shrine

Hey everybody, this is the design for the charm shrine for Savage 2. The way the gameplay works is you have to build (or in this case grow) this building to gain access to the siege units on the beast side. So I thought it would be cool if it had this kind of "bug light" feel to it so it would attract the beasts to it, or act like a beacon that would call the seige beasts into service. It was a fun concept to play with, hope you guys like it.

A Redesign, Kinda.

Hey everybody,
This is a design I did for one of the beasts in Savage 2. I was only supposed to design some cool armor for the beast to make him look a little more menacing, but it kind of evolved into a semi redesign of the character. I drew the character without the armor first so I could try to understand the forms underneath. I don't care for the drawing much but I had limited time so I had to move on. Then I painted him up, and on a couple seperate layers, painted some different versions of the armor. I hope you like it.

I've been taking a figure drawing class at the local junior college here in Santa Rosa just for kicks. Here are some drawings from the latest session. I can't remember the exact time for each drawing but I'm pretty sure the gestures are 1 -2 minute poses, and the more developed ones are 10 and 15 minutes.

Hey Everybody,
These are a couple of concepts for my new job at S2 Games in California. The game I'm working on is called Savage 2, its a multiplayer real time stragedy/ first person shooter game for the PC. (try saying that 5 times fast) The game is set in the future, post apocalypse, where savages rediscover old technology(steam power etc.) These are designs for the command center for the humans.

I recently found a new job back in California, so these last couple of weeks have been kind of crazy, getting everything ready for the big move from Chicago to the bay area.
